Heart Friends

And of course some of my "friends" are more famous than others. Count Zinzendorf was truly used by the Lord to bring renewal and reform to his people. A man of wealth who the Lord "grabbed a hold of at a young age" (he often does that if you hadn't noticed!), his commitment to Christ and to the poor has deeply impacted others for a few centuries now. His recognition that "no man liveth unto himself" led him to join with others (in the OMS—Order of the Mustard Seed) to be "true to Christ, kind to others and to take the gospel to all nations". The Moravians and their 100 years of non-stop prayer (now that is a long prayer meeting!) have greatly impacted the world and have inspired the 24-7 prayer movement in recent years. At any rate, all of us are in keen need of "cymbrogi"—companions of the heart—with whom to join our lives and with whom to labour side by side for the faith of the gospel. May we join with others and "run full speed together towards perfection".
